Task 3: A Comparative Review of QUIA and Neko websites

So today I came into class a little bit late because of a hangover caused by sushi-bonanza overdose (Sorry Dr). It was wild (lol sort of), caught a flu right after I came back to college, but anyway I'm in top-notch condition now watchaaa ! So today we were instructed to do another review and this time in a comparative manner; hence this website was assigned http://www.quia.com/pp/280981.html

This was my reaction when I first visited the Neko website. It was my first impression. But now, QUIA is my jam ! So yeah my first impression, this website is up-to-date, varies in teaching substantials and also absolutely user friendly. Though I would love to try to login as students, given more time to explore the website from both perspectives and see provided materials in the websites, so that I can adopt one into my own lesson in the future.

The adaptability of the website: Neko focuses more on students, the interface is made for students to assess but QUIA focuses on teachers where they are able to create activities relative to the subjects they are teaching. These activities can be made fit for the curriculum structure. Aside from that, teachers may also share their activities with other teachers in order to diversify classroom input and also assist effective curriculum planning.

Due to its flexibility QUIA cater to both students and teachers' needs; saving time, cost and also ingraining advanced learning and teaching pedagogy. Meanwhile, Neko has several loopholes like teachers can't access much to the provided items, as they are more students' utility. Furthermore, the website's activities cannot be altered or modified according to the teachers' curriculum specifications because it can only be monetized by the website's administrator a.k.a creator. Therefore, it is more user centered as compared to QUIA which caters for both. I think that is by far my review of QUIA, good day and until next time

  1. Hi Asyraf,
I am sorry you had a sushi overdose, but please come to class on time next time, ok. Anyway, thanks for your blog entry. I am gal that you really liked the website, even though at first you were sceptical about it. It is good that you tried it as an instructor, but you can also try it as a student, you know--just to explore how it works.
